The Life-Givers

                     How sharply they pierce
                                        the world:
               a white wideness of a wall,
                         in the back of it – 
                  a fluid universe of air we breathe,
                                  in front of it – 
           and how warmly they confront the world
                         two breasts
                               two nourishing breasts
                                      filled with magic whiteness
                                    pointing to Mother Earth

                     Wie scharf sie
                               die Welt durchbohren !
               Die weisse Weite einer Wand :
                                                            dahinter – 
                  Das fluide Universum der Luft die wir atmen :
                                                                                       davor – 
           Und wie warm sie der Welt begegnen !
                         Zwei Brueste
                               Zwei naehrende Brueste
                                      gefuellt von magischem Weiss 
                                    zeigen zur Mutter Erde
